Welcome to the home of the French Bulldogs by Gernada
I have been competing internationally since 1993 in the canine world. The last 15 of those years have found me passionately obsessed with french bulldogs.
I have produced generations of in show winners and you will not find any "fad" or "designer" colored dogs within my career. I breed as close to the standard as I can with health and temperment at the forefront.
If you are looking for a beloved lifetime companion reach out and we can see where discussions lead. When you take on one of my puppies, you are taking on more than a puppy it is generations of effort.
If you've found yourself researching the french bulldog you have no doubt come across the Fad- designer trend of color manipulation- what you may not realize is the associated additional health risks this introduces. These colors are disqualifying for a reason, in fact many of them have been introduced by breeding using other breeds, or through such extreme recessive or in breeding. They are being produced only for color and regardless of quality in most cases. Recessive breeding reduces the genetic intergrity of the breed as as whole and sadly due to their poularity the french bulldog has become a target of extremes
why say no to fad colors
It is important to know that each year thousands and thousands of french bulldogs are imported to Canada, generally from Eastern European countries. These puppies are bought from huge puppy mills to provide for the pet trade in Canada, many do not survive their jounrey and once they arrive in Canada are advertised and sold off within days, the "sellers" no more to be found but too late for the unsuspecting new owners who suddenly realize this precious little life is about to cost them thousands in medical bills. Supporting these networks sentences hundreds more to the same fate, their parents living in horror to produce until they no longer can
